The Latest Updates in Telerik UI for Xamarin R1 SP

Check out all the latest updates in this Service Pack update to Telerik UI for Xamarin—improvements are here for ListView, DataGrid and many more popular components.

Regular users of Telerik UI for Xamarin probably already know the new features we released last month, such as DataGrid, Buttons, DesignTime support, NumericInput and more. You can read more about them here. Now our Service Pack update has arrived,and it's time to give you а brief overview of the latest updates we've added based on your feedback.

ListView Improvements

As always, we've trained our focus on the component you use the most. This time we extended the component with several events, giving you ability to handle even more scenarios: 

• GroupHeaderTap event
• ItemHold event
• ReorderStarting
• ReorderEnded
• ReorderItemStyle

DataGrid improvements

What's Fixed:

• [iOS] DataGrid disappears when navigating to another page and back
• [Android] An exception is thrown when switching tabs in RadTabView

Button Improvements

What's fixed    

• [Android] Exception is thrown when running on API level 19 
• [UWP] BackgroundColor hides the BackgroundImage

NumericInput Improvements

What's fixed

• When the value is for example -1 and backspace is pressed both symbols are deleted
• Value should be visualized when the control is not focused 
• [Android] Binding exception for the value 
• [UWP] [iOS] Space can be entered 
• [UWP] Special symbol can be entered as first symbol 
• [iOS] [WUP] Minus cannot be entered 
• The value remains the last known value when the last symbol is deleted instead of null 
• Increase and decrease buttons have no effect when value is null 
• Numeric is shrinking when there are more items than can be visible 
• [UWP] Decimal separator is not entered if pressed from the keyboard (works from the numpad) 
• Entry color is not the same as button when themed 

MaskedInput Improvements 

What's fixed 

• [Android] Pasting a value in the mask results in IndexOutOfRangeException
